Cleaning is
the focus of this special report.
The dream of Dr Ema for the Tileagd Gypsy Community was to undergo a
major Hygiene Programme incorporating classes of introduction and
explanation on the importance of cleanliness – followed by practical
tests of starting in their own houses!
|
|
This was a
huge task, especially when 40 families signed up for the programme.
Such was the challenge that firstly only 2-3 homes could be tackled
each day and secondly, to do the job properly, the cost to be
covered was in the region of £5,000 / $10,000. |
|
Through
God’s amazing goodness, Mission Trippers from Louisiana sponsored
the programme and work started with Dr Ema teaching the classes and
a band of Mission Trippers helping to ‘clean house’.
It was hard and dirty work, especially in the summer heat, but that
takes a special commitment from God’s people to go ‘the extra mile’
or two in serving others.

The Smiles
Foundation has the very best in people, both staff and visitors,
willing to get down to the wire in doing what it takes to make a
difference. |
|
 |
This project
totally changed the world in which people were living. From dirty,
infested, unhealthy homes - came clean homes, offering healthier
lives, with new Hope and Dreams that things can be better in the
future. The parallel used here for the community is how God can come
into our lives and ‘Clean House’ – giving New Hope, New Life and New
Opportunities for the future.
Thank you to
all concerned for supporting Dr Ema, the Tileagd Community and serving
God so faithfully and selflessly.
