Project Support Trips (PST)

What is it:
An Opportunity to support a Specific Project for a period of time. Minimum 7 days, but unlimited in length. (During June, July, August – a PST must be for 2 weeks or more).

How does it work:
Different to the regular Mission trip, visitors commit to a specific project for their daily work, without variation. They will work minimum 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, or as the project requires. There are no evening team meetings to attend just daily assessment of progress and plans for the next step. All PSTs have an allocated Project Manager in Romania.

What Projects are available for PST:
Choice of:-

Construction

Elderly Care

Farm

Glasshouse

Retail (Stock, sorting & pricing - not selling)

School/Nursery Assistant

What is the Cost of a PST:

7 Days – £299

14 days - £399

Additional days over 14 at £15 a day

What does the Cost include:

Transfer by car or mini-bus from Budapest, Hungary Airport to Cihei Romania and back at end of your Trip.

Dorm room accommodation in one of the Smiles Centre’s in Cihei or Gepiu. (Upgrade to Single or Twin may be available).

Meals include Breakfast, packed lunch and Dinner each day.

Any transportation needed in country for the Project activities.

What extra costs are there:

Flight to and from Budapest (Hungary)

Travel & Medical Insurance (Optional but advised)
Help, advice and support available from the Smiles Office.

When Can I Go:

Coordination is through Dawn Wilson at the Smiles Office, but within logistical limitations, Project Support Trips are available year round, any time. Always best to plan in advance, but options available every month, so start planning NOW!
