Grand Opening
June 7th & 8th
2008
The Mission Centre is close to full already for
nearly 50 people joining us for the Opening but then staying on for the regular
mission trip. Because so many want to be at the Opening, we are now
arranging and offering a 'Long Weekend' option.
On this basis we can have
another 50 join us for the Special Celebration in June. |

The planned schedule is:-
Thursday 5th or Friday 6th:
Arrive and enjoy fellowship & relaxation at Cihei Mission Centre.
Saturday June 7th am:
Tour of Smiles Projects.
Afternoon:
Able bodied & wheelchair Tennis tournament to celebrate the
opening of the Tileagd Gymnasium.
Sunday June 8th
am:
Celebration Service with opening of Tileagd Church
to include
Induction Service of Pastor Ovidiu Butnaru and a
Baptismal Service with candidates from the Gypsy Community.
Lunch-time:
Special Luncheon for 250
guests at the Complex.
Open to invited Smiles Guests and
Romanian dignitaries with speeches & acknowledgements.
Evening:
A Gala Concert - with
special guest Nia & Tileagd Community School Choir,
doing their first full concert performance in their home town of
Tileagd Romania.
Monday 9th June:
Leave for Budapest and flights home. |

We can only take a
further 50 on the long weekend option who will be staying at a nice
small hotel in nearby Baile Felix. Smiles are looking to take on the
entire facility.
100 guests will be all we can logistically handle for the Special
Weekend and only guests on the Smiles Trip will be able to attend the
Special events as numbers that weekend will be at a maximum.
