Nia - Contemporary Christian Artist
Nia's full time ministry as a contemporary Christian artist began 1987, and Nia is privileged to have traveled so much of this world. Her testimony is a challenge for all, to put God in control and see His blessings change lives.

Having personally accepted Christ at the age of ten, Nia's passion to share the love she found in a Wonderful Saviour grew.

From the first tour she experienced with Continental Singers in 1986, Nia knew there was a ‘Call’ upon her life to share the Good News of the Gospel with a world in need. Nia's commitment was to go ‘wherever God opened doors’. Little did she realize the opportunities and challenges He would present her.

When Nia worked with Operation Christmas Child UK (a project of Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse International) she visited many countries sharing the Love of Christ to a hurting world. As a partner in Ministry with Global Outreach of Tupelo MS, Nia's commitment to sharing her gifts and resources with those less fortunate in the world, did much to raise the importance of Missions across American churches. Nia's mission work has already taken her to Honduras, Belize, Tanzania, Cyprus in the Middle East and countries of the former Communist Block and Balkan States such as Romania, Armenia, Serbia, Kosovo and Macedonia.
Nia's commitment to the Great Commission continues as a Founding Trustee of the Smiles Foundation, a registered Charity in United Kingdom, United States and Romania.

Annual visits to Romania, helping to meet needs amongst the many thousands of orphans, demonstrates in a most practical way, the love in action philosophy Nia desires to share, wholly motivated from her deep personal faith in an all loving God.

Nia has hosted her own Gospel Show with BBC Radio Cymru and Radio Wales and often appears on Welsh television.

Since 1987, Nia has released 16 albums in English and 4 albums in Welsh.

The newest contemporary album 'Small Things' was released in September 2002, as was the Worship album‘All About Jesus’.

In 2001, Nia's 15th Anniversary Year the recording of some early songs from Nia formed the Special Edition CD …

… The First 15 Years

Nia is unique in various ways. Most notable is the fact since 1994, she has used the profits from the sale of albums and merchandise to sponsor her Mission trips. These sales, added to numerous special gifts, have enabled Nia to donate thousands of essential items of aid to orphanages in Romania, plus Bibles for churches, Medical Supplies and much more.

In 1996, Nia delivered a passenger van to the Caminul Felix Orphanage in Romania. In 1998, she opened a Soup Kitchen in Armenia feeding 200 refugees each day. Today, the Smiles Foundation Charity has grown out of her ministry and the projects Nia’s ministry supports are numerous and span several continents of the world.

Nia married in 2004, and although her touring schedule has decreased she continues to actively promote the work of The Smiles Foundation through touring and special events. Nia's calling to share the Good News is the most important objective in her life.
